26. If you sell your Bullet, you a) will kick yourself in the pants and b) buy another one.
Long live the Bullets and those who ride them!

Keep the shiny side up, the boots on the pegs and best REgards,

28. You'll eventually begin to wince whenever you're asked the inevitable "What year is it?" knowing you'll either have to summarize yet again the history of the Bullet from '55 to now, or, for the sake of expediency, simply tell a white lie by saying something like: "It's based on a '55."  ;)
2008 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Deluxe--last of the iron-barrel Bullets.
2008 Triumph Bonneville T100--last of the carburetted Bonnies.
1974 Norton Commando Roadster--last of the "proper" right side shift Commandos.

If I tell people my C5 is a '51 they say "Oh cool" and walk away, if I tell them it's an '09 I have to spend the next 30 minutes explaining it.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

Yep, most people take my military to be a WWII vintage bike. If I say 2000, it takes a long while and often a lot of disbelief, before they are convinced...

Since owning an RE I have developed a new respect for all the folks that owned and maintained their own British bikes before us, especially considering they didn't have web forum support like we do now.   :D

Here is another one:

30. Just because the owner's manual came with the bike and is from the same people who made the bike does not mean it is accurate.
