Ok folks,  awhile back I mentioned that I would work on providing some custom artwork embellished Ace Air Canisters.
I wanted to draw talent from inside our RE community here, for the artwork, because we have some very talented people here.

500KsGerry responded first, and he sent in what I think is an absolutely stunning  piece  of artwork. It was even better than I imagined it could be.
Aside from having the "Ace" subtly referenced in the "Dead Man's Hand" (8's and Aces) with the Ace of Spades on top, he did a beautiful artistic rendition of a "bar chick" seated on a barstool, which was "morphed" out of the Ace of Spades in the center of the card.
I thought that the way he did that was amazing!  I just love the way the details of the girl fade as the depth of field deepens, allowing you to fill in the details with your own imagination. It draws you in. This was pure genius, in my opinion.
And the face-down card has a Royal Enfield marquee with a swimsuit model sitting on a Classic Bullet engine.
It has it all.

I am VERY pleased to present this artwork from Gerry, as an optional embellishment for the Ace Air Canister "Limited Edition".

I'd like to get some opinions and comments, and also some idea how many might like to have something like this, because I need to make a production run of the canister wraps at the printer. They will be outdoor rated, and UV protected vinyl wraps for the canister bodies.
The additional cost will not be alot, but it will add to the price. I'm estimating something like $25 more than a standard Ace Air Can, because I'm only making them in small quantity, and the setup charge and low quantity will cost a bit.
To me, that's a bargain for custom art like this, which is aimed directly at the Bullet, and not just some generic thing like they have at Auto Parts stores.

So anyway, I'm interested in hearing what people have to say about it.

And here it is:
NOTE: This is a low-res image, which has been cleaned-up and better detailed on the hi-res image that will be used for the printing. The engiine shading and detail is improved, and the photoshop lines on the swimsuit model are gone, so the detail on the "face down card" is much better in the final hi-res image.

Hey, can this be applied/transferred to a post-production cannister  . . . like the one I already have on my bike?

Killer design, IMO.

Yes.
You'll have to be very careful to wrap it around evenly, so it looks right, and has no air bubbles under it.

When I finish getting them made, I'll show some photos.

They are going to look sort of like bumper stickers, so that it can be wrapped around, with the design showing, and you'll have to cut out the place where the intake hose goes thru the canister.
Or, if you wanted, you could just cut out the area where the artwork is and apply it like a sticker.

BTW, the size of the image that I posted about is very close to the actual size that the artwork will be. It will be within a fraction of being exactly that size on the airbox.

That's real nice. If I ever get my bike running I'd love to have one!

That's a nice looking canister you've made too Ace, I saw it over in the gallery.

Cheers,
Christopher

Excellent. Since my cannister is black I'd probably opt for trimming/cutting out the artwork section and then applying it like a sticker. Let us know when they're available  :)

Hi Will,
Not sure about the cost yet.
I have to go up to Knoxville, and get the set-up done and make the order.
At that time, I'll know what the costs will be.
Probably later next week.
I need to get the oil coolers that you guys ordered finished first.

Ha!
In my dreams!

My "manufacturing facility" is my two hands, a drill, a hacksaw, tin-snips, and a file.
My "painting facility" is a cardboard box on my front lawn.

I don't ever see this becoming enough volume to have a "facility".
If it does, I'll be shocked.
