Wow, that is a lot. Did your battery cover have a lock on it?

I've got the horn and turn signal covered, that is if they are the stock items.  If you want them PM your address.  Will.

I am a big believer in the four L's; lock nuts lock washers, lock wire and loc-tite.
No matter where you go, there, you are.

In six years of ownership, I've lost 2 bar end mirrors a turn signal and various nuts and bolts. So far the motor has stayed put, but on a weekly basis I do go over the bike with a spanner and screw driver. It's become a habit. cochi

You guys are doing fine until you've lost a passenger.  :D

I must retreat to my place of Zen and meditate on this.

Couple of years ago I was passed by a pick up truck, the passenger was waving my gear shift lever at me.Was nice to get it back before I had even missed it.

I've lost one of the bolts for the stock seat (the rear one on the LH side with the handle - go figures), the bolt that holds the fork shaped support for the exhaust under the footpeg, and the top screw for the headlamp assembly.  Still don't know how that top screw dissapeared, not like it could vibrate upwards too nicely.  After that one I went around with blue gel loctite on everything I could reach, and green penetrating loctite on things that I didn't want to take off like engine mount and frame bolts.  That green loctite is NICE for permanent things, and the blue gel is much easier to handle than the liquid stuff, and works on plastics too.

I recently had my horn bracket rewelded by my local bike mechanic. No problems since then!

During my recent engine removal and tear down I would say 50% of the fasteners that you cant see clearly during a walk around had loosened up. I didnt even need a wrench on some of them. Nothing fell off though. Bought a big bottle of locktite for the reassembly. Yeah, joy, fun.
Nah, It's supposed to sound like that.
