That does sound like a splendid ride, especially the chippie stop.  I hope the weather gods are kind to you.

Dear Exiled

Weather dry & overcast but with sunny spells.Dropped into Goathland where they shoot the TV series Heartbeat .Steam trains & vintage vehicles  - ace.Whitby heaving with holiday makers enjoying the weather - No fish & chips as the resturant was busy  - Stopped at Bridlington for a coffee on the sea front - got talking to a 93yr old man on holiday who said he had rode a Royal Enfield during WW11 - he was on his way to the pub for a pint before his evening meal - hope I can do the same at his age.Wished him all the best & hopefully he will get his telegram from the Queen in 7yrs time.
Anyway a good day out - covered about 150 miles - my C5 now has 1200 miles on the clock and is going like a dream.   Hopefully the pillion seat I ordered will arrive shortly so her in doors can enjoy some ride outs.

Cheers

Keith
