Well, I went to a local hardware store (mom and Pop type not Lowe's or Home Depot) and picked up two feet of "1/4" Fuel Line"  the reinforced black rubber stuff and two clamps like pictured above.  Of course it's all lying on the floor with my hand tools next to the bike.  I actually took the existing clear line off the carb, recut that end square (it was kind of jagged) so it fit on fully and seems to be tight enough.  Originally I had tried to find "Jubilee" clamps small enough to go around the original clear line and was not successful.  So, for now I really did nothing but buy "stuff" to change it out at some point.  I may stick a plastic "zip tie" on it if I feel uncomfortable until I swap it out.

Yes, we call them by what they do.  Hose clamps.  A jubilee is a celebration, and I don't know why you'd be celebrating a hose clamp.  :)

Maybe they were invented on the 50th aniversary of of the year we got rid of the colonies?
