Hey everyone,
I just bought a 2001 Bullet with the classic (short) muffle, stock carb. with stock jetting (#25 pilot, #110 main, jet needle clipped at 2nd position from bottom, and Power Arc ignition). It shows evidence of lean condition at idle (erratic, hunts) but otherwise runs fairly well. I'm retrofitting a K&N filter into the stock airbox but otherwise am not making any other changes to the engine (for now). I envision starting off with a #30 pilot, #120 main, and needle in middle position. Altitude here isn't very significant (around 600 ft.) Some gas in the area is reformulated with alcohol, which can tend to make a carbureted engine run leaner, but I try to run non-reformulated gas whenever possible. Any thoughts or suggestions about jetting and setup?
Thanks,
Al
