Called CMW Friday about free replacement TCI for my AVL bullet. Received it today(that was fast). Only took 10 to 15 min. tops. Runs just fine. If you haven't done this yet it couldn't be easier.

Uncle Ernie,

It's the Electronic Ignition Unit.

The old model was thought to be possibly to blame for the all-too-common sprag clutch problem.

It lives under the seat and looks like this:

The original is black. The new one is green.

Ha!  I forgot- I have one on my bike.
Thanks ~

Been working on an old BMW the last week.  Kind of nice to stop obsessing over the Musket Ball, for a change.

Just installed my unit - don't even have to undo the rear bolts on the stock seat.  Simply undo the two front ones and tilt the seat up.  There's plenty of room to undo the black unit and put the new one in.

It did take a while but I have mastered the art of kicking a big single into life and have really started to enjoy the experience, my sprag clutch and TCI are being replaced under warranty next week after a very very long wait, once again my Electra will have an electric boot which I only plan to use when absolutely necessary.

I was going to paint this one black too, is there any reason we shouldn't?

Then you can get another green one!

I am providing no help today at all.
