Glad I am happy with the status quo ;)

Shorty exhaust
TM32 carb

Power Arc
K&N air
Bullet indicators
Tombstone taillight
Rewired running lights
Raised center stand
Side stand
LEDs all around
Solo seat
Hidden coil
Hidden reg/rec

Wow, I didn't realize I had done all that. I am no Geoff Baker, but still...

I guess I look at it that I'm trying to make the bike work within it's paramaters.  Allowing it to breathe and exhaust.  I believe the newer models are over engineered to make specs to get into the country.  My 2000 Drifter was that way..catalytic converter pipe, over burdened intake system.  With the mods I made it gained the performance it's 75 BHP should have done before.

Thats why I ask the pro's this question..I hate a bike that smokes for no reason.  Bam reroute the breather system amd add duckbill.  Smoke gone.  Over restricted air filter..bam install K&N  design filter.  Install a dunstall muffler and remove PAV sytem and headpipe resonator.  Bring head temps down.  I think these are expected mods to these beauties since CMW sells everything I'll be using (except the Dunstall muffler).  Kind of doubt they would set themselves up for disappointed customers and sell what doesn't work..

So I guess to mod or not to mod is up to the user.  Create what you think makes the bike more usable/suited to your likes.  I've restored old bikes of all types before (H-D, Triumph, BSA, Honda).  These mods are menat to allow the machine to run..IMO the way should run.  I wonder how the Indian models differ in exhaust sytem/air intake to ours.  I bet it's substantial.  Will.
