I bought my Re for its simplicity and the fact that I can repair it on the road side. Im not sure the electronic Ignition that my 350 iron has would handle extra or different coil arrangement

The engine has been designed for 1 flame front and thats all it needs.

No performance improvements have been reported on this forum that I have seen.

The very fine delicate wires that came with the PA was a bit of a put off for me,especially since it was going on a bike not known for it's smoothness. And also it had this knack of letting go with errant sparks sometimes, like when the piston was half way up the compression stroke.Scary ;),someone said it could be the way they trigger, something about light ???getting in the housing somehow ::)
Cheap twin plug coils,VFR 750 coils from bike wreckers will do the job

Clamp, i AGREE KEEP IT SIMPLE, but the placement of the decompressor hole is such a perfect tease  ;D
I think the problems I had with the Boyer , was the low voltage from the early 99 alternator. At the tickover, the headlamp drew the voltage low enough to heat it up.
In 58 years, I have had one set of points fail.
