A while back I was in my local RE dealership and saw a bullet 65.. I was in there just yesterday and I did not see one.  I didn't think to ask the owner.  Just curious if they still make them and how do they relate to the Classic and Electra.

Monty, the Sixty-5 was the first Bullet in the US with the 5-speed transmission. To show it as a more modern vehicle the styling was updated to a 1960's era look rather than the previous 50'era style. The Sixty -5 then is a slightly more modern looking bike with the new transmission. The electric starter was pretty standard by then. There were no other substantive differences from the standard Bullet.

An interesting (at least to me) sidebar is that we were waiting for the factory to "name" the bike. Finally the Brits got tired of waiting and just named it the Sixty-Five and the name stuck,

When I first saw one, I was hoping it was a 650 cc, but, alas, no such luck.

I notice that RE, in the Cycle World article, mentioned that in the next 10 - 20 years, there would be more new stuff, some for the US  -- could this mean maybe a twin 750 or so?

But, I'm 60 years old, can't they speed it up quicker than 10 - 20 years?????

In my opinion, the sixty-5 doesn't have to much hardwear that looks any differnet than the classic but the solid paint job and colors offered really made it look pretty! I wish those colors and choice of solid paint without the pinstriping was available option with the classics. That shade of red looks great and the "magic black" was really cool.
