Today I adjusted my rear brake so it works a bit better,  to test it out I went downtown and took some pictures.

Yikes.  I remember those days.

Was in the 60s today but down to the 40s already tonight with a freeze possible,  also maybe the 30s Tuesday night... Very unseasonably cold..   Usually we have only a few frosts every year, but it has been cold this year by Florida standards.  Have the fireplace going at the moment trying not to use the heat.

Are you getting used to shifting?

The shifting bothered me the first day or so,  my main issue is I had the rear brake adjusted way wrong.  It was sitting much too low in front of the foot peg.  I had screw in that adjuster screw almost 3/4 of its length and adjust the brake to get it to sit and work right.  Now the controls feel better than ever.

I also put in 3 Heavy duty clutch springs while I had it opened up.  A good investment as now the clutch feels much more solid and less squishy.

Next on the list is new controls and grips and a 7" lamp.  Actually I am riding over to the beach today to pick up some 7" bulbs.    Should have left already but the wife wants to come so I am waiting on her to get ready.

Well, Brother Baird, having lived in Iowa in the 1970s, all I can say is: I feel your pain!!!   :'(

I just thought the postcard comment would allow you to focus on something positive about your predicament -- running a shovel instead of your RE!!!    :D

Sadly its a JP helmet and not all that comfortable.. I will probably replace it by the end of the year if I can get one of those HCI punchbowls.  It works very well with my goggles though.  Great for around town.  If I am going over 10 miles or farther I wear a full face..  Hmm.  I should post this in the other thread, but its been said..

The Goggles are Airfoils, love em, very comfortable.
