Can anyone help me on ordering parts, if you go to the on line store it does not recognize part numbers (interesting since they sell a parts catalogue).  All I want to do is order a few gaskets and not the whole rebuild gasket package.  Is there another venue that sells individual parts and do they recognize the Enfield Part Numbers?

Thanks, made the call and ordered the parts, hopefully they can get it together so we can order by part number.

Elk,
This is a problem we have really wrestled with. On one hand it would be ultra simple for us to add OEM (factory) parts to the site. The problem is that there are many part numbers in the books that are simply wrong and many parts which have been superseded depending upon the application etc. There are large gaps in terms of the factory sending us running changes. Some part numbers start with one number, go to another variation when it is improved and then if it is improved the third time it may go back to the original part number even if they are not interchangeable. The factory is getting a handle on this, but there are years worth of numbers like this. In some ways it is more like folklore than science.
It would seem simple to make the corrections on line but it is not. At the end of the day, we make enough mistakes the way it is and to add to it by allowing you to order the wrong stuff does not make sense. It is much more expensive for us to take these orders by phone, but it goes a long way toward assuring you are getting the right parts. We have seen sites where you can order by number, but we can guarantee you that it is risky at best.
Maybe someday it would be possible, but even though it is much more expensive for us you stand the best chance of actually getting what you need.
Best Regards,
