It's either a thingamajig or a doohickey.

I hope it's a thingamajig then. The doohickey is a well known Achilles heel on the otherwise indestructible Kawasaki KLR650.  Who needs that?

I assume everyone here knows what Lucas invented? Darkness. And also why the British drink their beer on the warm side........because they have Lucas refrigerators. I still think it is a widget or a thingie.

Carberry has just confirmed it is indeed an external support. But for what?

Would this fit an ElectraX?  8)
It looks like it would be much lighter than the adapter and standard disc!
No wonder we no longer have a motor industry

They changed the front hub design for the 2018-on ABS/Euro4 models. Not sure the mounting lugs on the Electra-X forks (leading axle type) would have the caliper in the correct position, even with the Carberry adapter.

You may measure your hub:
The data of the brake disc are:
Outer Diameter: 318mm
Inner diameter: 144 mm
hole circle diameter: 166mm
screw hole: 10.5 mm
Thickness: 5 mm

As far as i know this kit fits Classic 350, Classic 500
