I saw this car today parked across from Alice's Restaurant. I am amazed that the owner has the guts to drive it around the very Blue San Francisco Bay Area.  Nice paint job and he has a very quiet muffler installed, unlike most the other cars that cruise around the area.  ::)

There's no doubting I'm a rebel at heart.
Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to drive that car around San Francisco and think of all of the Politically Blue people I was pissing off.
Oh, did I mention my son and his extremely liberal wife live there?  ;D ;D 8)

        I'll betcha that would be mufflers plural  :) with real headers. Just guessing  ;)

        The only vehicles with any balls in my area now are pickups. And to a lesser extent these little roller skate cars that are souped up and sound like sewing machines on meth and have stereo drivers and sub-woofers larger than their low profile Yokohama tires.

         I'll bet that car just goes right up so many people's asses - just does a body good  ;D

In my area the real liberal teenage rebels drive big 4-wheel drive pickups around town with bicycles in the bed, take up two parking spaces at shopping centers and go off-roading by spinning donuts on high school front lawns.  Pretty exciting, huh?   ::)

Being a life long Mopar guy and owner of a '68 Charger, I loved the Dukes movie, especially Daisy!  :o

I think this scene from the movie pretty much sums up the flag issue;

           I'm more of a TV Duke's fan. And that goes for Daisy, too.

I was gonna say something about being incredulous that people could take such offense at a  flag, but what do I know? Maybe the confederate flag is like a swastika in SF?

I see the Confederate Airforce has been renamed the Commemorative Airforce. That's just sad.

The DoH Charger in the OP? Cool. I'd drive that.

In other Bay Area news:  Today the mayor of San Jose, CA, is proposing a city law that would require all gun owners in the city to have private liability insurance that would compensate the city should the owner's gun cause injury to someone who then needs public medical attention or other public assistance.  :o  He stated that he hopes that the high cost of the insurance will cause gun owners to either give up their guns or never purchase one in the first place.   >:(

Even if approved by the voters he'd have a hell of a time trying to enforce that proposition. >:(
It's called "Grand Standing" for future votes. And sounds like one-upmanship between SF and the "Great" state of K.

Needless to say the response from gun owners was that the criminals that own guns are not going to buy liability insurance for their gun usage when robbing and shooting people. It will only impact legal gun owners who don't do that kind of stuff.  But of course, the mayor could care less what gun owners think. As you say, he believes that his announcement will not only gain votes when election time rolls around, but he also made the local and national news and that helps his head expand.   ::)
