Hello. I have a 2000 Bullet 500 and am in the U.S. Would you tell me where you buy parts? I need to get a clutch cable. I found a few shops online, but it seemed like they mostly cater to the newer Enfield models. Thanks.

Ever since RENA took over distribution for North America, they threw all enthusiasts of older models under the bus. (And then they somehow expect us to buy their new bikes?)

You can try RE of Ft Worth, who bought out remaining parts from the previous US distributor.

If they don't have it, then you are left with Hitchcocks in the UK, or India vendors on EBay. Hitchcocks is more expensive, but they are better.

Hitchcock's is wonderful. Great service and inventory. But the shipping...yikes! Fine for stuff I need right away but if it's just spares or accessories I don't need two day international shipping.

If you ask they will ship a slower method for less money.

Is there a vendor that is more reliable/has a better selection? There seem to be a few hundred folks in India selling RE parts.

I had good results from Royal Spares, but I only bought a few non critical parts. At this point where factory parts are discontinued, you might have to take your chances.

Keep an eye out for a new U.S. based company stocking a lot of the parts you need to keep your Iron Barrel on the road.  ;)

A little skepticism is healthy Jim, but this is as certain as an Iron Barrel oil leak. No worries, there may be some goodies for your UCE too!

If they remember the hardcore Electra-X and AVL Classic nuts out there, that would also be good.
