OK, so I want to set the CORRECT standard float level on the Mikcarb VM28.
I've done a search on the forum but can't find anything definitive.
Hitchcocks guide says this-
With the carb held upside down and the float chamber gasket removed measure from the carb body surface to the
top of the float, as shown below. The standard measurement is between 24-26mm.
Easy right?
But are we measuring from the outer rim of the carb body or the recess where the float bowl gasket goes?
Also are we measuring with the float held down, or let it sit up on it's spring?
Depending on how it's done it can vary 5-6mm.
Snidal's manual offers nothing helpful on the subject.
If someone can offer the correct interpretation it would be very helpful.
Cheers, Geoff.
