2011 C5. I haven't had a foot operated brake light switch in a few years.  Today I decided to try and track it down to fix the issue.  I'm lost  and am looking for direction in life.
I have continuity showing across the  black wire leading to the switch but nothing on the green wire. It doesn't matter if the bike is running or off. Same result. Hand brake lights up fine just no action down at the foot switch.
I have a new switch but the wiring leading to it doesn't have power so it's not the switch. I've been testing at the connector above the switch.
The existing switch body is plastic and appears like it is isolated from ground physically. I've been looking at Heloego's wiring diagram but can't see anything amiss.

Help?
