I think those crash guards look just fine, and might give you a very nice perch for some additional lighting later.
So badass my Enfield's actually illegal  in India. Yet it squeaks by here in Virginia.

So how has your experience with changing the handlebar mounting gone?  Were you able to find risers?  When I took an Interceptor for a test ride Monday the same problem you mentioned affected me, the pain in the lower back from the unnatural (to ME) riding posture.  The foot pegs also seemed too far back, but didn't give any issues on the relatively short (only 50 km or so) ride.

Well...sorry for not updating the thread. Took delivery of my Baker express interceptor on the 27th of March so its been just over a month today. The bike has already spent 6 days at the service center  ;D...

Issue number one: I think i had mentioned this already. the engine just would not turn over though there was power supply to everything. Spent a day at the dealer's and a faulty coupler was the cause of the issue which was fixed.

Issue number two: The bike had been wobbling a bit since new and also bouncing up and down post 60 kmph. A short 90 kms ride was enough to scare me and so i dropped off the motorcycle at the service station again. They had out right denied the very existence of the issue at the first free service. but this time, they looked into it and concluded the rear Tyre was  defective from the factory and that it would be replaced under warranty. The replacement tyre arrived only arrived 4 days later so the bike was at the service center for 5 days. They gave their test ride bike as stand in though so i appreciate that gesture. However, the replacement tyre was on sept 2017 vintage  :o...i was worried and denied it. But i have been convinced that it is absolutely fit and fine for usage as it was stored safely at the factory (brazil).

coming to the handlebar risers, i installed them just last evening so cant say yet if it will help as much as i am hoping it would. Initial impression is that i am not as bent forward as earlier as i also tilted the handlebar inwards. Will comment post a longer ride. Need to get a better seat before i can hit the open roads though. so that will be the next mod.

Thanks for the update!  I was eyeing the lone Interceptor at OneRide yesterday.  They continue to intrigue me, but the riding position on the one test ride I did left me skeptical about a long term commitment to an uncomfortable bike.  I was looking it over and it appears that one could rig up a more forward positioned footpeg by using the forward mounting bolt on the engine.  Didn't get around to analyzing the other side as to how to rig up a forward positioned brake pedal which would be an issue that definitely would interfere with moving the footpeg forward.  I know this isn't an issue with many, but my bad leg doesn't do well with the more cramped rearward positioned factory pegs on a long haul.

Hopefully you checked to make sure the clutch cable still has slack in it when the clutch lever is released.
I don't know about the 650 but my UCE 500 clutch lever needs to have about 2-3 mm of free movement where the clutch cable attaches to the lever, before it begins to show resistance.

I mention this because Noraly (Itchy Boots) put risers on her Himalayan's handle bars without changing the clutch cable to a longer one.  That kept the clutch from fully releasing so by the time she got to Iran her clutch plates were entirely worn out and had to be replaced.

By the way i had the stock seat cushion ripped off the base plate and a new firmer cushion fashioned yesterday. Now the seat is a little taller and a lot wider compared to stock. I had to do this to make the seating comfortable for longer highway rides. Have rode around for a little under 50 kms post with the new seat and the difference is very evident. The contact surface has increased there by providing better seating. Looks are subjective...but i feel the new seat is not all that bad looking at all. Let me know what you guys think...

Here you go. A friend of mine rode pillion on my bike last night for about 30 kms... He was all praises for the improved comfort the new seat offered compared to stock... :D.. Looks like this is turning out to be a good investment after all. Also posting a pic of the handlebar after the risers in place
