https://awcarr.wixsite.com/mysiteI finally picked my 'ceptor up on Tuesday during a break in the storms. So far I'm very pleased with it; very smooth, seems torquey but as yet I haven't revved it too much, mostly up and down the box with plenty of breaks to allow for heat cycling.
The supplied headlight was not up to much, so that has been repleced with a nightbreaker, much better. I did toy with putting an LED bulb in, but the definition between dipped beam and main beam was lost with the one I had in the garage.
Phone holder installed and then I was able to check the accuracy of the speedo - it's around 10% optimistic which is pretty standard for motorcycles. The only bike I've had that was accurate was a Harley.
The downside to the chrome tank is that unless it's pefectly polished it shows marks quickly. I'm going to have to overcome my OCD on this or it'll never be going out. It's been pretty cool here in the north of the UK so I was considering wiring in either my heated vest or heated grips. The stated output of the alternator is 156 watts, so it should be able to handle it.
Has anyone acquired an .pdf of the service manual? The importer in the UK seems to be having difficulties giving access to the area where I think it should be.
