I have my first long ride, probably 4 or 5 hours a day in the saddle for 6 or 7 days, coming up in August. I am doing Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I know that my single seat is reasonably comfy for about an hour and then I start wiggling a bit, trying to find another ass cheek. What do you suggest that is comfy and fits the single seat pretty well? When I set up my bike with all the luggage and rack  I bought I will post pics. Thanks,

About 8 years ago I bought a Butt Buffer pad, which I used during a long trip while riding on my F650GS. While it was certainly easy to attach, it felt hard after a few hours and upon returning home, I never used it again.  (I still have it in my closet.)  I found a regular sheepskin cover to be more comfortable. I ultimately invested in an off-the-shelf Sargent seat, which I have been using for the past few years and have found it to be comfortable for up to 12 hours of riding.

Another seat pad option that I really like is the Air Hawk.  It has doubled the comfort of the hard stock seat while riding my Zero.

I did a multi day camping trip on my standard solo saddle, and at the end of each day spent a fair bit of time standing on the pegs trying to ease the ache. After some searching on eBay I bought a lycette style solo saddle and matching pillion seat which both fitted my C5 with very minor fettling. Since then long rides have been a totally different experience. Last October I travelled over 2,000kms, about 1200 miles, around New Zealand and found the seat to be great with no aches.

My Bullet's bench seat is very comfortable.  It feels like sitting on my living room sofa.  So I have never felt the need to add a pad to that bike.

I put a sheepskin that I had laying around on my 2012 C5. Much nicer and cooler here in the Florida sunshine.
