Yes. It is a brand new design, exclusive to the Himalayan.

I've only looked briefly, but the pics I've seen look like the same engine.  Maybe a different design behind the same or similar covers?  Or faked "artist renderings?"

This seems to be news - where can I find out more about this?

The pics in the Indian press are photoshop/artist renderings of the 650 twin with a Himalayan style exhaust, frame and other fittings.

It is quite possible the pictures are click bait and the only factual part of the articles is that a 650 Himalayan is on the drawing board.

Take rumours in the Indian press with a pinch of salt. Another rumour doing the rounds is a UCE 500 single based scrambler allegedly due for release in June:

Some of Bmadd34's posts have gone missing...

No matter, this isn't the place for this discussion anyway.  But I am interested in the subject; I'll move it over to the Himalyan section...

I noticed this short article in Ride Apart about a scrambler.

I removed them. They seemed to be upsetting to other members and I do not want to be the cause of an argument or issue of any sort. Sorry for any confusion.

My favourite bike in the whole RE range is the B5, although I like them all.. Its the closest to the original Iron Belly. They look really nice in the forest green colour and still have the hand pin striping. They also have 19 inch wheels. The smaller wheels, particularly the rear on the C5, makes the bike look too small and almost scooterish.

Warwick - love that video, I could watch him stripe all day...

The first RE I ever rode was this 2006 Bullet, in green:

I was thinking of buying it, but at the time I didn't know enough about Enfields and it had some minor issues that scared me away.  Now I know they would have been pretty easy to sort out and I could have had a nice low-miles iron barrel to play with.

Another way to make any RE look small is simply to have anyone over six feet tall climb aboard:  :o  ;D

Royal Enfield used to make a big thing of the "hand crafted" aspect back in the day.

This is probably the classic add from the period:

Speaking of hand crafted Royal Enfield, here's the vid of the guy painting the gold stripes on the tank. Pure class -

Mattsz. I love the green colour too.  If I was in the market for a new B5 that would be the colour I choose for sure. I have not seen a green iron belly model in Australia which is a shame. There are some nice colours that are quite rare. I have a black and chrome iron belly with gold pinstriping but have seen a pale blue and chrome version with gold pinstriping which looks really great. They also had a post box red version too. The B5 with a single saddle is my favourite of the new models. However, as I already have two singles a twin 650 would be nice.  :).
