Question, does anyone have a source for a metal spigot for the non stock Mikuni VM carbs? The one that is on my bike is the all rubber version. Very flexy. And from past experience, the metal spigot coupled with heavy duty radiator or fuel filler hose, makes for a better mount.

I may have one in my parts from the shop. I will have to go look. We used to make them all the time for the Fireballs.

I also think Hitchcock has them.

Bummer, thanks for looking anyway.

Double bummer because I don't think Hitchcock's offers them either.

Eventually I will have them in production again after the machine shop is running again.

Look out for throttle cable clearance issues against the underside of the rear of the tank, particularly with the taller 612 engine, when moving the carb further back, as will happen with the separate alloy spigot.

If it does become a problem you can buy 90 degree bend steel ferrules for the throttle cable to route the cable away, these need the outer cable shortening to compensate.
