That new Benelli's nice enough, I guess. Should do well in India and the Southeast Asian markets, where it's truly a race to the bottom, if the price is kept way down. It's so clearly designed to nibble at Royal Enfield's home market share, that these comments, if reported correctly in the article, are just puzzling:
"It will be ready next year. We understand the market (in this segment) is very big, but we also understand the weakness of our competitors, and that is the reason we haven't launched it yet. Are we to interpret Benelli's delay in rolling these new scoots out as some act of mercy to its flagging rivals? Sure.
