Could be. How about a 2019 W800 Cafe? And I bet Kawasaki can ship them.

At least they haven't tried to disguise the fuel injectors to look like cartoon carburetors and air filters.

But the W800 is going to be quite a bit more expensive than the RE 650 models in the U.S.  My recollection is that the MSRP here for the Kawasaki will be around $9,700.  As (almost) always, you get what you pay for.

Yup. That's the amount it states right on the website.

If I was going for a retro Kawasaki it would be the Z900 RS Cafe.

I looked at the W800 as a possible (along with the Triumph Scrambler and Guzzi V7) before eventually deciding on my UCE bullet.  The W800 is a solid design which has been around since 2011. It may well outsell the Enfield 650 in western markets but the bulk of 650 sales are guaranteed to be in the domestic market.

For the record if I buy a new bike this coming year I'll be the Interceptor with the chrome tank.

I am still working on the old Bullet but I was slowed down a bit due to life but I haven't given up on it.

As much as I like my Versys the W800 is both too much money and brown just doesn't do it for me.

Just looks like a W-800 with a fairing to me... If I had to pick something new now it would be an Intercepter, hands down! :)  Orange or Chrome.

I think either of the new 650 Norton twins will eat both 650 Enfields and the W800 for mains and then be off hunting for some desert... 178kgs (dry) 84bhp 47lb/ft. Amazing what you can be done with 650cc and a 270* crank  :o

Never underestimate the value of improved combustion efficiency and reducing parasitic engine and rolling chassis losses.

I came across some W800s in Paris and wish I had taken pictures..They were so similar in finish to my old Triumphs it was weird.
I hope they bring those stateside.

The W800 has been on sale in Australia for years. Its a nice bike and great quality but has never sold in big numbers like the triumphs. They just dont seem to capture the imagination of buyers regardless of many being customised (i.e. by Dues ex machina). Many sold seem to lose the badging...
cheers heaps

You could always dig up a W1 in a barn somewhere.

Interestingly the 60's W bikes were BSA Clones but the W650 (from 2000 odd) and W800 look a lot more Triumph than the actual new Triumphs.

I'm with Narada and The Old Coot on this........interceptor in Chrome probably. I will see them on Dec 1st in NYC and I can't wait for the day! And as for the color of the Kawasaki? Poop brown does nothing for me. That bike looks more targeted at the Thruxton.

But 9fingers, poop brown is in (the toilet or on the beach) today.  :o One of the new colors that BMW is offering on their 2019 R1250RS is a nice pleasant poop brown. So there you go. Italian styling consultants retained by manufacturers in both India and Germany are telling motorcycle companies that their customers want to show off the color of their poop while riding around town.  ::)
