I am not sure how it works.  Would this device connect together all wires that are inserted into it?  Would I be able to connect e.g. +12V to one and thus have +12V on the other four?
Yes, that is correct.

Those work really well, exspecially on lighting as you can connect / disconnect / connect easily - been using them on the trike I am building - found a mixed box of 100 (2,3,4&5) for Aus$12 from bangood

Hey! I know you got a bunch of replies, but: I'm doing a rewire myself ('99 bullet 350)....I'm using posi-locks; simple (they just twist on), rugged and reusable. No crimping required. They are a little pricey, but wicked worth it...

Would anyone know what is the 'rule of a thumb' for selecting the correct size of  BRAIDED EXPANDABLE SLEEVE WIRING HARNESS?  The come in sizes like 1/4"   3/8"   1/2"  .... What that does exactly mean?  Is that diameter of the harness or width of a sleeve as it is flat when you buy it?  If I have a bunch of wires that form a harness of 3/8" dia would I need 3/8" sleeve?

It makes no sense that the dimension would mean anything other than the diameter when used as a tube. It's meant for something to be inside of it so it just about has to be diameter.
RI USA '08 Black AVL Classic.9.8:1 ACEhead/manifold/canister. TM32/Open bottle/hot tube removed. Pertronix Coil. Fed mandates removed. Gr.TCI. Bobber seat. Battery in right side case. Decomp&all doodads removed. '30s Lucas taillight/7" visored headlight. Much blackout & wire/electrical upgrades.
