I have a squeaky shock. It makes a "I'm dry and screaching for oil" sound over bumps.
Are these things serviceable?  Can I undo the screw on the reservoir and add oil?
It's quite stiff so in thinking maybe it isn't low on whatever is in there our else it would be bouncy right?

Before you attempt to service a shock that may not be serviceable, try lubing the upper an lower shock mounts with something like WD-40 or a similar thin oil and lube the shock shaft with silicone spray. If that stops the squeaking then you have found your problem.

I'll try and lube up the eyes and see if that helps it out.

I'm curious as to why you recommend the closed shocks Bert. I've never really liked the reservoir hanging off the back of these but do like the visible spring.

Generally, for the RE I like the enclosed shocks for their classic "Girling" looks which matches front forks.  Also unlike the RE shocks these replicas actually move in response to road conditions.

For you specifically, it looked like some environmental protection would be appropriate for Windsor.  And if you were going to replace your shocks I wanted to provide you some inexpensive options.

Ya, my workplace is a quarter mile down a dirt farm road.  Which can be fun when it's raining.  Lol.
Just finished cleaning off last night's mud and am standing in my shop with a can of silicone spray. Still looking for my lube spray.
Cheers.
