I was catching up on my backlog of The New Yorker and bumped into an article by Rachel Kushner entitled "The Leather Boys" (https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/06/04/finding-yourself-in-film) which talked about the movie, her father, his Vincent Black Shadow (with sidecar) and the original Ace Cafe (https://www.acecafeusa.com/history and https://london.acecafe.com/).

Here are the worldwide locations: https://acecafe.com/locations/

And we have our very own ace.cafe member whose emphasis is CGTs.

There's a story here.  Care to share it?

It's really pretty basic.
I have been into cafe racers all my riding life, so when I signed up here, I thought of a user name that indicated interest in cafe racers. The famous Ace Cafe.

So, that's all there is to it.

My first cafe racer bike was a 1974 Ducati 750 Sport bevel twin. I was mostly an Italophile, and the Bullet was my first Brit single.

ace.cafe -- that's a good story and maybe, life me, some of us learned more about motorcycle and cafe racer history as a result.  Thanks.

I started in the opposite direction with a Matchless G80 scrambler then a Honda 305 twin that had seen track service in Japan, both motorcycles purchased from friends and both not always having positive impacts on my life.
