Hey guys. New rider here. Had my CGT since February. My first bike!

I'm at 500 miles and wanting to do that first break-in oil change.

I didn't realize it was going to be hard to find oil change stuff.

I found that I can get Motul 5100 15W50 from Walmart.
But the filter and O-rings are either hard to find or expensive.

How do you guys feel about oil filter kits from eBay? For instance, I keep seeing "genuine Royal Enfield oil change kit" for around $20 shipped.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I didn't realize CMW store had them for a reasonable price so I got the three pack.

Thanks again!

The filter has a Purolator part number stamped on it. I have to go look at one of my filters to get the number. And for whatever it's worth, I use Castrol actevo 15w 20 oil designed for air cooled engines.

I get my oil filter kits from my local dealer for about 11 bucks. The only bad thing is, it takes about 30 minutes for the dealer to figure out what the part number is so they can find it in their stock and you never know if the kids is going to come with all the O-rings and bits or not.

Our local O'Reilly's' carries a 2 1/2 gallon jug of Mystic 15-50 syn blend with a REAL high zinc content that I've been using & have had real good service with. I buy the 3 to 5 pack of economy filters, they're usually missing a couple of O-rings so I hang on to my old ones until I know what I need. Seems with the Iron Barrels & the UCE filters, I have the same issue.

Part number on the Indian Puralator UCE oil filter is:
PL 7123.    Hope you have luck cross referencing it to an available substitute.

Ya.  Good luck.

A lot of people have spent a lot of time trying to find a source for that Puralator filter but it seems to be a proprietary Royal Enfield part.

That's not to say some off the wall company isn't making a replacement but anyone buying one of them should remember, "You get what you pay for."
