Yesterday, I fitted a carb kit to the yellow GT, other than this and a non standard exhaust, the engine is standard.
The green GT has a non standard exhaust, carb kit, cams and I shortened the cylinder barrel for improved squish band efficiency and a slight hike in compression.
You can see the difference between the two in the videos. Both machines get worked hardest near the end of the run, if you want to see the almost flat out stuff.
Hope you like the videos - I liked making them !

Thanks for the video, Paul.
I've really enjoyed the quality and narration of your country rides and shop lessons.
Does the Amal kit make do with gravity or is the pump required?

Give a Brit a piece of metal and he'll do something silly with it.

It’s gravity fed, if you look at the conversion kit in the accessories section on Hitchcocks website it shows everything you need.

I'm pretty sure the yellow one is my old bike.

I hope the new owner gets as much pleaser riding it as I did  8)

How much did you take the barrel down?

How much did you take the barrel down?
In the case of the green GT, it was 1.5mm, but this amount can vary from engine to engine in order to achieve the required optimum squish clearance.
