   (moved from "Cab Enclosure" thread...)

After a week in San Diego, finished the tub install.
Initial alignment done. First ride the bike ran like crap (Ran great before I left). Couldn't even get enough power to get it out of first gear. Checked the plug. Oooh! Very rich, indeed! ???
Tomorrow I'll reset the EJK to stock settings, clean the plug (or get a new one or two). Also suspect water in the fuel. Drained the tank. Letting it dry overnight. Fresh fuel and Techron in the morning.

Fresh fuel with Techron, new BPR6ES plug, reset the EJK to stock settings, let it idle a bit, rolled the throttle a few times. Good to go, maybe. Still get some stutter at full throttle, but a quick ride up and down street (up to 2nd gear, anyway) showed no issues.
I'll toddle on down to my favorite fueling point and put some REAL fuel (no Ethanol) in it and run around a bit. So far it seems to have a very slight pull to the left, so tomorrow I'll be more certain.  :)

Step 3  ::) :

Popped the missus into the tub for a relatively short ride of about 5 miles to my favorite fuel stop.
Other than a stiff damper and a slight tendency to pull left (requires another alignment adjustment), the biggest problem was that I couldn't get it over 40mph/64.3kmh. With the additional weight of the tub and the missus I didn't want to start lugging in 4th gear.
I also noted a couple of pops on decel, indicating a lean condition. The last move on the silencer was over a month ago, and install was good. No pops of any kind before adding the side car.
Once home, first thing I checked was the new plug. Looks fine, if slightly lean. Back to the EJK to richen it slightly.
   Current Stock EJK Settings are:
      Grn - 4.5
      Yel - 3
      Red - .5
      Grn/Blu - 4
      Yel/Blu - 4
      Red/Blu - 5.5
I'm thinking increase the Green (Cruise) to 5 to see if it improves tomorrow.

   Plug - BPR6ES

   Primary Sprocket - OEM Stock

I'm wondering if a change of primary sprocket is in order.
Humble opinions from anyone welcome, please. ???

I put a cozy on my totally stock C5.  I can cruise at 60mph on level ground with no headwind (although the bike and I much prefer 50).  That's without the SC windshield. I do use the SC WS support brace because passengers like having something to hold on to.

Now that real life  ::) is out of the way for a week I can get back to the hack.  ;D
I replaced the included Tail Light with a real honest-to-god Tail/Brake light and the Marker Light with a Turn signal to match the one mounted in the right-hand wind screen mount. The Krator 5 1/4 inch headlight I mounted comes with a crap H4 LED which already broke apart, so replaced with a better quality LED I'd ordered in a previous post. We'll see how it and the one on the bike headlight hold up.
Only issue left is the unit on the tub will not illuminate on Low Beam, though not really an issue because I do NOT normally ride at night, and use High Beam almost exclusively.
Removed the EJK from the C5 electrical box lid and mounted it on the tank parcel grill so I can SEE the LEDs to determine where fuel changes need to be made. Considering I've effectively doubled the load on the bike I expect the EJK adjustments will be considerable.
Received and set up a set of UClear AMP GO comms. Training the missus how to operate hers is on the schedule for today. Hope it warms up enough for a drive with her. Temps per the weather "prophets" are supposed to be in the 50's F. range, but we'll see how it goes. Wifey woke up this morning with a sore throat, so a ride today just may not happen.  :( That's OK, though. I still need to fill in the two holes for the Marker Light left in the mud guard.
So far the alignment felt good even though the last ride was max'd at only 40mph. We'll see how it goes once we get on the road again. Got a LOT of thumbs ups and yelled out compliments from the folks that passed us on the last ride a week ago.  8)

Got a WHOLE DAY or TWO to do something constructive with the hack!
That said, and after slamming my hand to my head multiple times, I've ordered up a 17T sprocket and a couple oil seals for the damned thing. Seems some idiot (yours truly) didn't read and retain nearly as much of this forum as he thought.  ::) Maybe there is something to memory loss claims by us sexagenarians, huh?  ???
So no EJK adjustments until I get the sprocket changed. bearing in mind my expected workload over the next couple of weeks, the items should arrive in time for me to drool a few more days before the bike surgery begins.  ;)

Oh, and God Bless you, Tim Hirdler!  ;D
