I can't believe the price of flowers these days , went to buy my wife flowers for our anniversary, they didn't seem worth it so I got her a battle green C5 instead

"Battle Green" for "The Old Battle-Axe?"...Sweet.
So badass my Enfield's actually illegal  in India. Yet it squeaks by here in Virginia.

My wife said a greeting card is better choice of an anniversary or Valentine gift, so she got a card. I'm so blessed to have such a great wife, I bought myself the bike, I am willing to let her keep it clean, I'm so thoughtful and generous.

Previously she rode a Honda CT 110 (postie bike) with auto clutch  so she was  worried about the  manual clutch and the weight of the C5 . Her first ride went well, no problem adapting to the clutch  and she was surprised how well it handles and  corners. Unfortunately its raining today on her day off work , she was really looking forward to her second ride with a little more confidence.

"Postie bike?"...Hmmm...Oz-dweller detected.  [Checking profile...] Sure enough: hailing from the land of "bikies" and "truckies" (instead of "bikers" and "truckers").  Well, my hunch is your Sheila (?) is gonna LOVE that added punch of a 500, and that it'll prove well worth the bother of tending to that clutch. You did well.

Those little Hondas really are fab though. Although we're probably all well aware of the stupid old adage, "Fat girls are like mopeds. They're fun to ride, but you don't want anyone seeing you", some of the finest times on the road I've ever had were astride a nice old borrowed Honda 50 Step-Through (sometimes called a "Cub" or "Passport") in and around Chepstow in Wales. It's a close cousin of your gal's old CT 110--only maybe half as powerful, but with a really pleasant little leading-link front suspension. Anyone who's never tried one shouldn't miss the opportunity, should it present itself. Especially velocity-challenged Bulleteers, who'll soon feel right at home. Same thing goes for gals with a little meat on their bones, if you're a free agent and so inclined. They too quite often have their own virtues.

Looks like even the toughest, hardcore bikers are feeling the economic pinch!
