There is a relativley new thread about the blue Bosch coil  and would it be a improvement.

It reminded me of my promise some time back to change the Indian spark plug that came with the bike.

I have nothing against Indian stuff exept that in my experience it has to be said that it is usually inferior.

Is the Indian plug used in American imports? Has any one had trouble with an Indian plug?

Am I the only one running an Indian plug.

Clamp, my '08 AVL came with a Bosch.

Not sure about the only one running an Indian plug, but pretty sure you are one of a kind.  ;D

Its very quiet round here,--no one has spark plugs?

Just trying to find out if the plugs from India are used for export?

Mine has an NGK spark plug. Not sure where they are made. I have over 8600 miles on the current plug without any issues.

Bosch and NGK so far then.

I would really like to know if the sponsor of the forum changes the plugs or if they arrive with bosch or NGK in them,---- or they change them.

My hand book refers to the Bosch plug and gives a Bosch part # for replacement, so it looks to me that these bikes were exported with the better plug.

Clamp, I have an 03 500 Bullet. It came with an NGK. It's a great Japanese plug. However, I don't know if they are still manufactured in Japan. It was an BR8ES. I don't know why the owners manual recommends a resistor plug when the coil wire has a resistor cap on it.It seems like a bit of overkill to me. I've switched  to an NGK B8ES. So far no complaints about radio interference from the neighbors!!!cochi :D

NGK is by far the most common plug here and can be bought anywhere.

They are 4 Ringet  3 Ringet to a dollar.
