Thought I'd stock up again on fork seals @ our new Ft. Worth store, then I noticed they're listed @ $12.95 EACH!! More likely $2.95 each. 8 of'em from across the pond with the shipping is still more economical than 8 purchased locally, & didn't notice an installer tool listed on the site, may just not been added to the site yet but, surely that seal price is an oversight...right?

They have to pay for their expanded accessories and parts inventory some way, a small price increase may be a very good way to accomplish it in their eyes.

When a Big Mac, a order of fry's and a small soft drink cost over $7 I guess it's only natural for a oil seal to cost over $12. :(

Yup, again I just didn't think it through. Seldom I see things get less expensive in cost, though a 500% increase seems a bit much, but then again...

Well.....

Having defended RE Fort Worth, I'll have to add to your complaint about their prices.

My Dunlop K70 front tire is getting worn down and it's about time to replace it.

With this in mind, I did a web search for Dunlop K70, 3.25 X 19 tires and found a number of possible places to buy one.

Then I got to thinking, "It would be a good idea to support our RE parts store so I'll check on their price for my new tire".

After a bit of digging and weaving my way thru the Royal Enfield Fort Worth site I finally found a K70 tire listed.

$160 + postage !  :o :-\

At least half a dozen other motorcycle parts stores are offering the K70 in the right size for $77 to $87 plus postage.

Guess where I am not  going to buy my new tire?  >:(

They have to recover what they paid Kevin for the business and Tim's relocation.   Hitchcock's prices aren't exactly reasonable either even at current exchange rate.

do you think once they recover their investment the prices will drop down to something more reasonable then? I for one think not. I get most of what I need from Mr H. while they are not as cheep as the stuff coming out of India they are usually at least 60% less than our friends in TX. Now with that being said,I think you are rite the price for those seals must be a typo.

The computer can't tell you the emotional story. It can give you the exact mathematical design, but what's missing is the eyebrows. FZ

Speaking of expensive - have you seen the prices for fuel pumps on eBay by various India vendors??
