Well, lets see. If you only ride a couple thousand miles a year yeah why bother. But can you think of ANY manufacturer today that does not use an o or x ring chain? Chain stretch raises hell with cs sprocket wear. It is a lot of work replacing the cs sprocket on a RE. There must be someone out there who has found an x ring chain that works.
