Call your local PD now, if you haven’t already.
  That’s a shame.

GRRRRR.... I feel your pain brother. If you don't have a surveillance camera, think about getting an IP Camera, or a DVR with CCTV cameras and point one at you parking area. It helps to know who helped themselves to your stuff. I have one pointed up my driveway, one pointed at my garage/workshop, one pointed towards the street where I park my truck, and one to pan the front street/sidewalk area. They ALL record continuously.

Gee, I am really sorry to hear that, Ace.  :(  Some scum will steal just about anything.  >:( However, my guess is that the CGT isn't all that popular in your area and should be easy to spot if it is taken outdoors for a ride.  I agree that you should get the cops and social media advised of the theft and have everyone around town get on the lookout for your bike.

I called the Sheriff and am waiting for him to arrive so I can give the report.

Sitting in my car in the driveway now, and it's 16 degrees outside.

Edit:
Police report filed.

Ace I am sorry that this happened.  Just a thought:  it might be worth a try, depending on exactly where the bike was parked in relation to your house, your home owner's insurance policy might provide some coverage for personal item theft/loss.

That's crap Christmas news Ace.

I hope they manage to recover it. Had that happen to my TZR125. It's a horrible feeling.

Has there been a recent run in targeted areas locally recently?

That really sucks Ace.  :'(

Maybe if you post a picture with description, some of us could help get the word out?

Put an add on craigslist in the motorcycle for sale section describing what happened and a Vin #.  That's where they are likely to try and sell it.   :-\     I'd also put in the description.  "Not Honda... Not Kawasaki.. Not Yamaha.... and etc and etc and etc.   So when anyone is searching for a bike , your add will pop up..  Good luck .

If you do that, post the craigslist url. I will re post it in the DC area. We should stay alert on any sales in the city listings. The VIN may help.

I suggest that you contact RENA and see if they will help you out by telling their dealer network to watch for the VIN. Also call REFW since they are the ones that are selling parts.
Make sure your insurance company is in the know. We had a customer for many many years that was an undercover FBI agent focussing on stolen bikes. They do actually have a data base with and work together with the Insurance people. You'd be surprised what they find.
Also start watching eBay and CL as someone else suggested. They will have a tough time registering it, and lets hope they don't try to part it out which really makes no sense.
On a lighter note, it will probably have some sort of problem sooner or later and be dead on the road.
Best Regards,
Kevin Mahoney

Thank you.

I suspect that they will part it out, because they have no title or key.

I took the insurance off for the winter because I wasn't going to ride it until spring.

I alerted all the pawn shops in the area too.

Hi Otto,
No, I haven't heard anything at all from the police or anyone else.
It's just gone.

Too bad, but I'm pretty sure that sooner or later they land at Joe Arpaio's.
