make sure all the sensors, connectors etc are all in place before turning the ignition on or you get error codes forever!

engine got here at 2:35 friday afternoon. got it bolted in by 4:15. will be sorting the rest of it today. i know the price seems steep for a used motorcycle engine, but after pricing parts to repair the original plus my labor, it came close to the going rate for a used bike.

Best of luck with it. Back when I was first considering buying a RE, back in the early 2000s, I knew they were poor quality, but I also thought they were easy to work on, and you could practically rebuild one beside the road. I guess that part wasn't quite true. I love engines that can be easily and cheaply rebuilt over and over again, this my love affair with the Harley Shovelhead and Evo engines, and the old school small block Chevy. I don't care for the disposable stuff being built today.

by some curious case of synchronicity turner classic movies was playing a few colin clive films yesterday, so here goes... IT'S ALIVE! ready to terrorize the pitchfork wielding villagers once again!(after getting it off non-op and insured). don't tell the inspector that it already went around the block. the source of the engine is pinwall cycle parts in ohio. they have a bunch of parts off my donor bike at reasonable prices.
