Great video Perri, love the extreme close ups and climb-ons!  Great footage all around.  :)

I wonder where they are going to hide the charcoal canister and the air injection system plumbing? Neither of those U.S. and Euro 4 emission requirements are likely to improve the clean looks of the 650 prototypes. The charcoal canister sure didn't improve the looks of my B5. Fortunately, it accidentally fell off and the bike looks much better for its loss.  :)

Euro IV requirements?  Euro V is only just over 2yrs away and that's more likely to be relevant to these models by the time they eventually roll of the production line  ::)
Never underestimate the value of improved combustion efficiency and reducing parasitic engine and rolling chassis losses.

My understanding so far, is that there won't be an air injection on the intake like a Triumph, but there was something in the exhaust... May not need charcoal canister outside California either?  ???

No need for the canister in the US except for CA.

Well, BMW sure likes them in all of NA, maybe even Europe, too. ??? The first time I saw a charcoal canister was on my 1997 BMW F650GS Funduro. It caused a vacuum to be built up in my fuel tank so that the engine would stop with a gallon left in the tank.  After the dealer couldn't fix the problem, I removed the canister, defeated the air-injection system and called it a day.   ;)  The bike ran perfectly after that.   :)
