Great canvas to work with, what would it look like with chrome tank, brass hand grab, chrome tool box cover, brass levers?  Looks like many opportunities to customize, dress out.
Compare subtle details below: 1969 interceptor has more teardrop shape tank, handlebars wider, more reach, perhaps headlight extends further forward compared to the new model.
Chrome fork sliders and rubber fork boots would make a difference. IMO
A paint scheme on the new interceptor would make tank more teardrop shape and stretch it a bit.  Black out the upper forks/triple tree.  Make the battery box more oval shape, more bulbous.  This is going to be fun!
See the bottom rendition.

I like the look of both models, and if the quality is good I'll be interested in one. Probably the Continental GT 650 over the Interceptor as I have a original one. But if they can fix all the build and quality issues with the Himalayan and put this motor in it and import to the USA I'd be all over that!

Well maybe by the time it gets to the USA I will be ready to trade off my 2014 CB1100.

Hoping I live long enough to own one of these --Loved the old Intercepters and this one should just be better.  Great being able to see it in person at the Long Beach show.  Horsepower not a factor at my age, just weight and height and those look to be spot on.

The planned production start date is April 2018 and we should get them here in the UK in June (well, we did design them... :)).
