Took an awesome trip with a friend to Moab over memorial weekend.
Turned out to be a fantastic trip despite Jonathan breaking his big toe the first day we were there, bailing mid-wheelie.

Here's a little 1 minute video I threw together of me falling off my bike and bailing.  Definitely not easy terrain to navigate, but one of the funnest trips I've been on.  And this video makes me laugh.

And here is an edit going over Hurrah Pass by where we were camping, in the bottom of a giant canyon surrounded by 100-300 foot cliffs.  My favorite part of this video is towards the end when we ride out on a point only 15 feet wide and 150 feet straight down.

Some of that reminded me of Skyline Drive outside Canon City, CO.
Thanks for sharing, Scottie!  ;D

Looks like great fun. I was through there around the same time a year ago. Had a rental car though. Looks like your way is the good way.

How was the tempature?

Great editing BTW. Kept waiting for Buster Keaton to step out from behind a bush in your blooper reel.

Can you ride dirt bikes out there?  I think that's only like another 30 minutes from where my friend lives in CO Springs.

Thanks!  Temp was about 80 degrees during the day and 50 at night.  Very comfortable for the desert.  I camped on Moab 8 years ago on a mountain bike trip in October.  Mountain bikes were easier to navigate, but dirt bikes were way faster and much more fun.

Both of these edits I used the GoPro Quik and Capture apps for my phone.  The bloopers reel is actually a style of edit you can do.  It worked perfect for all the bails.  Hahaha

That made my hands and my eyeballs sweat. I can't handle places like that any more even though I grew up in Wyoming and spent huge amounts of time driving in Rocky Mountain NP, Snowy Range, Tetons, Yellowstone, etc., and a hundred other places like it. Even long bridges are starting to bother me more & more now.

Thank god guys and girls like you with big balls are doing it so I can still watch  :) :)   And sweat...

A close second for me is the grin on your face at the end!  Looks like a real blast, chum!

Hi Scotty,
No dirt bike riding. Skyline is paved, but very narrow along a knife-edged ridge and almost straight down on both sides w/serious hairpins on the way down.  :)

Maybe not a big deal for regular mountain/dirt riders, but for a first timer on a bigger bike it's a white knuckle ride. Once you're through the gate you're committed.  :o

That's cool!  And actually, I think it just led me to find what appears to be an epic OHV trail that goes from Canyon City to the backside of Victor.
