I did a LH to RH conversion on my 2000. I also switched the old gearbox over to using gearbox oil instead of grease (all this requires is changing to a sealed bearing) and drilling a breather hole (as described in the Snidal manual).
The instructions for the conversion are fully covered in a special section of Pete Snidal's manual, so that is not a problem.
Took me a weekend, more or less, to make the conversion. With plenty of time beforehand to plan, familiarize myself with the parts and the instructions and read up on how to tips (there were plenty on the forum. You want to be able to heat some of the parts to spitting hot and freeze others).
