WDCO motorcycle military pannier racks

Hello,
As for my winter project I am planning on making a replica of  WW2  motorcycle military pannier racks, just like these on the picture.  Unfortunately I do not have any info other than pictures from the internet and that I am afraid is not enough.  Anybody can help?   Thank you.

Thank you Adrian; that is something.  I am going to use bags I already have so dimensions will be a little different however, it gives me some idea.
