Hi All-

I am currently averaging 45mpg mostly city driving, my gas gauge also seems off. It keeps telling me low and the tank will only be half empty (or full depending on your view of life). Anyone have any problem solving ideas? Not really into taking it to my local shop to be charged $150 just to check it out.

Thanks-

Wouldn't that be a warrenty claim?  I would guess you shouldn't be charged for it if it's a warrenty claim.  Just a thought.  The lower mpg may also be contributed to the weather, and an unusually high amount of red lights on your rout....Just something to run through while figuring things out...

Using something like Fuelly (there are other programs)
http://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle/royal_enfield/continental_gt  can help detect gradual or sudden changes in fuel consumption if your overall riding habits/route remain fairly constant.

Never underestimate the value of improved combustion efficiency and reducing parasitic engine and rolling chassis losses.
