I'm new as you all can tell.  Been looking for the glossary.  Like "Blip the throttle" huh?  Gee is the oil can the crank case?  I love it but its Indian to me.

erob -

I really like that idea and I'm definitely in the same boat there. I have to use the google "define:" search construct on a nearly daily basis here to try and keep up with the conversations around here.  ???
What wouldn't you not do if you didn't know you wouldn't fail?

A General Glossary would really be appreciated.

Maybe we could have Clamp to head it up? He seems to have a way with words  ;)

A wikipedia type thread in the forum might be an easy way to start. Here is a sample:
BLIP THE THROTTLE:  A quick flick of the throttle to momentarily bring up the RPM of the engine with the clutch dis-engaged. Useful in these circumstances: 1- Older style bikes with point ignition and older style carburetors do not idle well.  A quick blip  will help to avoid a stall. 2- When down shifting will help match RPM to the new gear ratio, thus minimizing drive train stress as well as making the down shift smoother.
