Hi Guys,
How critical do you think that little air deflector thing on the head is to engine cooling. I was thinking it would look better without it. I have previously removed the air/exhaust port system just to get a cleaner look. I wonder if any of you have done like wise?

I would think it's there to scoop cooling air to the spark plug. They (the factory) must have had some valid reasons to put it there because it cost them production $$$ which would be avoided like the plague. The Federal Regs cost them a lot on the AVL (and I've done away with ALL of them  :))  ::) ) Mmuuuuah hahahahaha ;) Free at last. Great oogally moogally! Free at last  ;D

I took that air deflector off over 30,000 miles ago.  You don't need it.

Great Googly Moogly!

Yep, in the unsurpassable lyrics to Frank Zappa's "Nanook Rubs It In" off the Apostrophe album...
