I must have measured pretty well because it fit right on like a bought one!

You haven't tried to mount many RE-bought accessories, have you?

Stripped and cleaned front caliper. The pads are the most evenly worn pair that I've ever seen on a sliding caliper set up. Usually one pad is much more worn than the other I find.

So I changed the fork oil to Penrite 10w,  What a difference it makes. Doesn't plough like a mofo anymore. Haven't ridden it on the twisties yet as a storm here is brewing so hopefully tomorrow. I emptied out exactly 400ml each side. Doesn't the specs say 430ml? Plus it smelled pretty much like old engine oil to me with a viscosity of brake fluid. Maybe its a mix of engine oil and brake fluid, who knows.  Also installed fork gaiters while the forks were out.

I've always liked the look of gaiters-nice job.

Got these. Pity I won't get to try them for a few months (Scottish winter, a bit like our summer but even colder and salted roads!) Hopefully by then I'll also have the front end sorted, probably emulators unless I can be convinced that different springs and oil can make a worthwhile improvement.

In India they have a front registration plate attached to these holes.

75 here in central TX today, but really windy.   Fired up the GT and did a 30 mile "around the block",  stopping at Walmart/Murphys for a couple of gallons of alcohol free at $2.38 per gallon.   Regular down to $1.98!  Wish I had an extra tank in the back of the truck!

I drain the float bowl in my '08 AVL when I put it down for the winter for just that reason. So far so good. Whatever compound these particular TM-32 floats are made of seems to not be too affected (or infected) by the ethanol. They seem to feel the same as when new.
