oTTo, I went the 6 yellow heavy duty springs when I changed the clutch, no slipping and not much more lever pressure, very springy  ;D

I suggest you choose a clutch-friendly oil (ie 4T, JASO MS-2) and then flush twice.  EBC specifically says oil choice matters.

And that's exactly what's in there...

...different oil brand could help though, maybe.

I sold it.
As much as I would have loved to have kept it, I can't justify having two bikes. I'd had an RE 650 on order for a while, but got tired of waiting and bought a 2005 Triumph Bonneville, which I love. And, I have to say, the vibrations and cafe racer riding position was getting a bit hard on my 63 year old body. I did feel sad though, when the chap who bought it loaded it up on his trailer and drove off. It was a great bike for me to get back into motorcycling after a forty year break, but the Bonneville ticks a lot of boxes for me, and who knows when the RE 650s will actually be available.

Well it was a good gateway drug. Enjoy the Triumph.

I'm trying to perfect the Power Commander stock fuel map. I'm just wondering if my stalling issues on Idol and just as I cracked the throttle from 0% is an issue of the bike running lean.

Put another 120 miles on it. Only a few miles away from 9000 now and still enjoying every mile that passes.

KD...I am attaching my Map. I have never stalled since installing the PC-V. This is pretty much the stock GT Map. Compare yours to mine for differences. Hope it helps.

Not so much today as 15 minutes here and there over the past 2 weeks. Polished heel plates.

Finally installed the 1 1/8" digital led voltmeter ($10  from eBay China) on the "dashboard" of my emgo viper fairing.  Connected it to the switched grey tail light "hot" wire at the connector under the seat and ground.  Works great!

Guys, I'm having a hard time here.

Looking for a 7 inch black headlight housing that I can put a black halo headlight into but Amazon and google aren't being exactly easy.

Any recommendations?

As for what I did with my CGT, I involuntarily took the exhaust heat shield off as I was driving down the road.

I hear a rattle then a TINGTINGTINGTINGTING getting ever fainter and look back to see metal in the road.
The bolts had come lose ha!

I made a vibration absorbing muffler mount for the GT. Last road trip the footpeg/ exhaust hanger loop broke off. I had it welded back on but it needed something to absorb the shakes. I made this little top hat bush, bought a grommet to fit and asked my bro in law who drives a water jet cutting machine at a manufacturing place to cut the bracket and ring to my template. He did a stellar job.
The ring is to bulk out the bracket so I can have a decent size grommet but not lug around a 6mm thick exhaust bracket. It's just welded to the main bracket. I must have measured pretty well because it fit right on like a bought one!
The bush is bolted solidly to the frame loop and the bracket kind of floats in place on the grommet. Seems to work but I won't be able to test it for a while. I'm grounded with a broken clavicle.
