You might want to try a call into cycles of Silver Spring. Ask for Rush.

Having a break in the heat I got out for a ride. Later, I noticed my license mount plate had broken. My plate doesn't fit the mount bracket though. So, I drilled and threaded a hole in the mount bracket. Now the lower rubber bumper on the rear fender looks huge.

Long in planning the time has come to realize.

Got some ball joints with integrated seal, made some custom brackets and addapted some custom rear sets. This should be a nice kit and improve the shifting incl. braking capabilities of the bike to suit my fireball.  :)

Over the last couple of days I changed a few things. Put on bar end mirrors, replaced chain guard, put in Iridium plug and replaced muffler with a taper silencer from Hitchcocks. Mirrors work great, I did retain the original bar end weights. Mirrors clear as a bell up to 75 mph. Question: I've ordered a Power Commander V through a local independent bike repair shop (old racing buddy, he even has a Bullet he rides occasionally). Does anybody know where I can get a map just for the pipe mod? I have not changed the air intake, plan on doing that later. Bike seems to run OK, may have lost a couple MPH at top end.

Installed a chrome license plate frame with red led strip wired into the brake light.   Thought about hooking it up as a running light first, but decided the brake light would be more attention getting.

Did my chain adjustment, and fitted my no-brand saddlebags from my days on a Honda 450 Nighthawk. Now under slloooow rotation, i get squeak from the wheel that disappears with any real rotational speed (e.g. actual riding).

Misaligned? Doesn't feel like it...

Could the chain adjustment have affected the rear brake adjustment just enough to squeek?  ??? If so,  that may also overheat rear shoes / drum and cause greater problems...  :o

Mine squeeks sometimes too when the wheel turns slow enogh, I've not been able to identity the source. I suspect the bearing shaft seals of it.

I found the only cure to a squeaky disc on one particular bike I had was to keep the brake applied before and while tightening things up.
Never underestimate the value of improved combustion efficiency and reducing parasitic engine and rolling chassis losses.

Installed the PCV valve as per ACE recommendation. Shall observe what it does...

...also shortened the lever at the gearbox for more direct shift.

Plus 1 on the PCV as per ACE. My version.
Took the rubber air dam of the rear fender.
Got out for a ride yesterday. I test drove my new throat scarf from our host.
