Here is a nice article published by the California on-line motorcycle accessory store Bike Bandit about the history of Royal Enfield and commenting on their future in the U.S. next year:

"That’s why Royal Enfield began making some huge moves to take the North American market by storm; moves like hiring a former Harley-Davidson executive Rod Copes as their President of North American Operations, partnering with GE Capital to offer consumer financing for their bikes, and opening 100 new dealerships in the U.S. in 2016.

Royal Enfield knows it has what the U.S. consumer wants, and it is not wasting any time in getting set up to give it to them."

100 new dealerships, thats 8.3333333333 per month.  Pretty ambitious.

I hope they have an intensive service mechanic training program in place.

Nice write up.

It was also nice to see our old friend, barenekd is alive and kicking.
(He wrote a comment in the article about riding a 2011, 500G in SoCal until a pickup ran him off the road and his wanting a CGT but buying a MotoGuzzy instead).

I think the article means that they have hooked up with GE for DEALER inventory financing. GE no longer works with retail financing We have used GE for years. Most companies use it to allow dealers to purchase more inventory for their stores. They do have a very ambitious dealer acquisition goal and may very well accomplish it judging from the number of people they have hired.
We have been working with their new tech people who are very sharp.
