From the country that brought you " fashion and function " in the shape of the Wolkswagen Bettle, this beauty. Front wheel drive, monocoque chassis, found in Germany at the end of WW2, then disappeared. I wonder who " nicked it" ? That looks like a GI sitting on it

The dad of someone who works for Victory perhaps ?  ;)

How very apt. Especially under the circumstances of the bikes discovery. :)

I think this Vespa has something to offer as a commute vehicle, but it could probably use a Corbin seat upgrade.    ;D

Fantastic! How close to your local airport do you think you would get with that?

 Looks like a 75mm M20 recoiless rifle.
The kick wouldn't be too bad but the backblast will get some attention.

After seeing that video, I am thinking that the 75mm Vespa prototype didn't make it into production.

I have read and agreed with many posts about The Japanese manufacturers sanitizing the motorcycle industry, but what is this all about, I read a review which said this is the motorcycle you never new you always wanted. I just want it to go away.

I hope those two try-cycle concept models from Japan are just a little engineering experiment and not where the manufacturers believe the market is going......

However, I do think they would make a great target for a 75mm recoiless rifle.

That's the kind of thing that you get when people who have no clue about what a motorcycle is, have gotten into a "leadership " position in the industry.

I agree that the introduction of the Honda 750 was the "most significant " event in 20th century motorcycling....
It marked the beginning of the end.

Phew! Back to normality.
How about your own 1914 chauffeur driven Gyrocar?
And yes it has only got two wheels.

Well, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Road Dog, Bill Gelbke, yet so I will. Those of you not familiar with the Road Dog, please Google it. Very interesting story and a really wild American home-built motorcycle experiment.

I've included the Plymouth Bike, also, which I think predates Gelbke.

The first and only time I rode a CB750 was possibly the biggest motorcycling anti climax I have experienced. I was waiting for arm socket wrenching acceleration that never happened, my T140 felt like a thoroughbred race horse in comparison.
