I looked at the RE online store to see if there are some smaller rubber footpegs for the Bullet, but didn't see any. I HATE the gigantic stock pegs that are easily four times the mass of the ones on my 1100 Guzzi!. Any ideas on a bolt on replacement?

You could try the trials pegs. They are smaller, but they are also metal with no rubber, so you may not like the look.

I can't suggest any good aftermarket alternatives; however, it is my experience that the size of the left foot peg rubber can be significantly reduced by consistent and frequent sharp left turns. Similarly, extra and uneeded weight can be shaved off of that heavy duty brake pedal by *very* sharp right turns.

Yeah, they're big, ugly, and leave black streaks on your pants if you so much as graze them.

I got an inexpensive pair of aluminum pegs with o-rings, they're a bit trendy but they're sleek and non-marking.  I got mine on ebay and like them quite a bit.  I did have to adjust the shifter lever; without all the rubber boosting my foot I had a hard time reaching it!

I like their chunkiness. Gives me something sure to rest my foot on.

Remember: more mass=less vibrations transferred.  If you like numb feet after long rides, smaller pegs are the way to go.

I think that the pegs on a RE are about the size that has been used on Triumphs and BSAs and the other common Limeys since Indy cars had skinny tires and the earth was still cooling.  My problem with the pegs is that they are WAY too far forward for me.   Makes it hard to quickly stand on the pegs when transversing rough stuff.  I moved then 2-1/2" back on my Bullet and like it a lot better.

Like CowBoySculptor I found the originals left black marks on everything.
I fitted a pair of the oval shaped Royal Enfield logoed flatter rubber ones available from a certain UK supplier (I reside in the UK) and these have that sixties look and are comfy with no black marks.
Our hosts probably sell the same (Kevin?)

My Beemer and my Bonneville both have rubber pegs that are the same size as my Classic Royal Enfield.  I like the RE's placement of them better.  But the size is pretty much the same as any other bike except the skinny steel trials or dirt bike ones.

I replaced my fatty rubbers with ones off of a 70 something CB (350?) passenger pegs!  Much sleeker looking and still plenty to step on.
